Information for Organisations/Agencies

The Albany & Regional Volunteer Service will help community groups and agencies access suitable volunteers.

The Centre will actively promote the benefits of volunteering to recruit interested people to offer their services. We will

¨              invite and maintain details from community groups and agencies needing volunteers.

¨              use this information to match the skills, interests and availability of potential volunteers.

¨              refer potential volunteers contacting the centre to community groups and agencies.

This will make the task of finding volunteers quicker and more efficient.  The time and cost involved in recruiting volunteers will be reduced

What types of positions are volunteers requesting?

Volunteers are people who freely choose to share their time, skills and energies with the community for no monetary reward.

They are aged between 15-95, come from a variety of backgrounds, and collectively have a vast array of skills.

Volunteers supplement but in no way compete with the work of paid people. Society could not function without volunteer effort.

How do groups access services?

Community groups and agencies need to apply for membership of the ARVS to access services.  Membership is free.   Groups applying for membership need to provide information including their not-for-profit status, details of insurance policies covering volunteers and should have clear details about the volunteer positions (JDF) available.  If your organisation is interested in learning about the services the ARVS provides and how to join, contact the ARVS on 9841 3588.

The Albany & Regional Volunteer Service operates from 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday.

The centre is located at:

230 York St, Central Arcade (behind Bankwest), ALBANY
